The Klingspor FD 500 abrasive discs make fine grinding of components and surfaces even easier. The waterproof discs can be used to sand down

paints, varnishes and
fillers, enabling very soft grinding with a very fine grinding pattern. The discs are self-adhesive and can therefore be used universally on random orbital sanders. They can be used for wet and dry grinding.

Good pressure distribution thanks to the flexible foam backing
The flexible Klingspor FD 500 sponge discs adapt optimally to irregular surfaces and contours. This makes them ideal for use on hand-held machines. Depending on the grit, the abrasive discs are available with either corundum or silicon carbide grain. Depending on the selected grit size, they can be used on both brittle and strong materials. The abrasive grains are bonded using synthetic resin, which is highly resistant and does not lose its bonding strength even over a long period of time. This means that the FD 500 discs can withstand even heavy loads for a long time.

Individual applications for finishing sanding
The self-adhesive connection on the underside of the FD 500 discs allows them to be used on almost all random orbital sanders. This makes the sanding discs an interesting solution, especially for professional finishing sanding – for example, for wet sanding of multi-layer painted surfaces in the automotive industry.
