Electrocorundum is a synthetic grain made of aluminium oxide and is characterised by a crystalline, irregular shape. Electrocorundum is also very hard and durable. Both properties are ideal for matting and satinising metal surfaces. The binder is resin, which is known for its high adhesion and strongly fixes the grain.

In order to achieve an even grinding pattern and thus an optimum grinding appearance, it is important to choose the right tool. Abrasive flap wheels made of abrasive fleece are a good choice for processing straight and convex workpieces, because they optimally adapt to the shape of the workpiece being ground.
