QMC 400 Non-woven Mini Disc
QMC 400 – Quick Change Disc mini discs for sanding paints, varnishes, filler
Universal applications and easy use – Quick Change Disc mini discs with metal clasp attachment: Quick Change Disc mini discs with metal clasp attachment are ideal for processing:
paints,
varnishes,
fillers,
metals.
They are therefore ideal for finishing sanding surfaces and for cleaning painted surfaces. For this reason, mini discs of this type are only available in Medium, Fine and Very Fine grit sizes. The surface of the discs is covered with a soft sanding fleece. The abrasive material is made of electrocorundum. This is an abrasive grain synthetically produced from aluminium oxide. The use of synthetic abrasive material in these discs ensures a constant grinding quality.
Efficient sanding with Quick Change Disc mini discs with metal clasp attachment
For cleaning surfaces of paint and other materials, the sanding disc must be attached to a support disc. In the case of the Quick Change Disc mini discs with metal clip attachment, this is done by screwing them onto the internal metal pin. The QCA 555 mini disc adapter allows them to be used on any standard angle grinder. This means that the abrasive discs can be changed quickly and grinding can be much more efficient. Klingspor offers backing discs in many different sizes and hardnesses. By combining the soft abrasive fleece with a correspondingly soft backing disc, extremely delicate paintwork surfaces can be cleaned. However, if the aim is to remove a larger amount of material, a backing disc with a correspondingly higher hardness is the best choice.
What should you pay attention to when storing abrasive discs?
To prevent damage and contamination, the discs should be stored in their original packaging until they are used. They should be protected from high temperatures, direct sunlight and contact with moisture. The ideal storage temperature is between 18 °C and 22 °C. The air humidity should not exceed 65%. If the air is too humid, the substrates of the sanding discs can absorb moisture and therefore warp.
