QRC 800 – Quick Change Disc mini discs with plastic thread attachment for efficient tool change
Quick Change Disc mini discs are grinding discs that are particularly suitable for use in small, hard-to-reach places on all types of workpieces. True to their name, these grinding discs enable quick and easy changeover. The basis of the Quick Change Disc mini discs with plastic thread attachment is a hard abrasive fleece on a synthetic fibre backing. This material has a long service life. The electrocorundum grain is applied to a synthetic resin bond and is therefore also very durable. There is a small plastic thread on the back side that ensures permanent attachment to the support disc. The QRC 800 discs require the matching QRC 555 support discs. Attachment is achieved by rotating 180 degrees to the right. This ensures that the grinding disc can be used at speeds of up to 20,000 or 30,000 rpm, depending on the size of the support disc. The larger the support disc, the lower the permissible speed. The choice of the substrate in the form of a support disc for the grinding disc also affects the grinding quality. A hard support disc is ideal for achieving a high stock removal rate. For fine grinding and processing profile surfaces, softer support discs are the right choice. They are flexible and therefore adapt to the contour of the workpiece being ground.
