PS 21 FK discs – hard, very durable and self-sharpening zirconium corundum on a paper backing
The PS 21 FK abrasive discs manufactured by Klingspor are self-adhesive and can therefore be easily attached to grinders with a hook-and-loop backing. They have a heavy class F paper backing. The abrasive grain is applied to it. It is made of zirconium electrocorundum, which is synthetically produced, like all other types of grain used by Klingspor. As a result, it always has high quality and stable properties. Zirconium electrocorundum is hard, very durable and has a homogeneous, crystalline structure. It is an aggressive, self-sharpening abrasive grain. This ensures a long service life for the abrasive discs.

Full-coated abrasive grain – ideal for processing steel and other metals
The PS 21 FK abrasive discs from Klingspor have zirconium electrocorundum grain, applied in a full-coated form on a paper backing. As a result, the paper is almost completely covered with abrasive grain. The large number of grain peaks arranged densely next to each other enable a large amount of material to be removed. In addition, the full-coated grain also increases the service life of the abrasive. It is primarily used on abrasive sheets, discs, belts and other abrasive materials for processing steel and other metals. At Klingspor, the abrasive grain is attached to the substrate using a backing bond. The top bond, also known as the casting resin, ensures even better embedding of the grain. In all Klingspor abrasive materials, it consists of a synthetic resin with high strength and adhesion. The top bond also protects the abrasive grain from the lateral forces during grinding. The quality and thickness of the top bond, which is always adapted to the respective product in the Klingspor formula, therefore has a major influence on the service life.
