Twisted roofing nails
Twisted roofing felt nails are specialized fasteners made of low-carbon steel or galvanized steel, featuring a wide flat head and a shank with a spiral (twisted) design. The spiral grooves on the shank increase holding power, preventing the nail from loosening due to wind, vibrations, or structural movement. The nails can be zinc-coated to provide corrosion resistance and extend service life.
Applications
-
Fixing roofing felt, bitumen shingles, and other insulating materials to wooden substrates.
-
Mounting roofing membranes, underlayments, and moisture barriers.
-
Use in roof construction, sheds, pergolas, and other structures with bituminous coverings.
-
Roofing projects requiring high pull-out resistance.
Benefits
-
Enhanced holding power – the spiral shank provides better anchoring in wood compared to smooth nails.
-
Corrosion resistance – zinc coating protects against rust and extends product life.
-
Secure fastening – minimizes the risk of roof covering loosening over time.
-
Wide head – ensures firm pressing of insulating material without tearing.
-
Versatile use – suitable for various bituminous materials and membranes.
