Small steps, big change – bee and insect day at Marcopol
In celebration of Bee Day, which is observed annually on August 8th, Marcopol is taking further pro-environmental initiatives. This is not just a symbolic action, but a real step towards protecting biodiversity and raising environmental awareness in our surroundings.
New homes for pollinators
On the premises of our company, we have installed hotels for beneficial insects that will support the lives of, among others, wild bees, ladybugs, and other pollinators. These structures provide a safe shelter and nesting place for insects that do vital work every day – pollinating plants, regulating pest populations, and supporting natural ecosystem processes.
Coming soon: our company’s wildflower meadow
We are taking it a step further – soon, we plan to sow a wildflower meadow on one of our plots. This space is not only a beautiful, colorful feature but, more importantly, a long-term support for biodiversity. Wildflower meadows attract pollinators, improve water retention in the soil, and support the microclimate of industrial areas.
Small changes, big impact
Pro-environmental actions are an integral part of our sustainable development strategy. We believe that business responsibility does not end with the product – it also includes care for people and the planet.
Bee Day is a perfect opportunity to remind us how important even the smallest creatures are in our ecosystem. Through joint initiatives, we can make a real impact on the quality of our surrounding environment – doing so locally, with commitment and respect for nature.
